Why does the extension say "Subscription Required"?
The Chrome extension connects directly to your Language Master account. Because it uses highly accurate DeepL™ translations, you must have an active Pro or Premium subscription. If you are already subscribed, simply make sure you are logged into your account here, and the extension will automatically recognize you.
How do I install the Chrome Extension?
You can download the "German Newsreader" directly from the Google Chrome Web Store. Once installed, pin it to your browser toolbar. Clicking the icon will open the reading side-panel on any German news website you visit.
The audio isn't playing. What should I do?
Our extension uses your browser's built-in text-to-speech voices. Make sure your computer volume is turned up. If you are using a strictly locked-down browser, you may need to grant Chrome permission to play audio. You can also click the "↻ Refresh" button in the extension header to reload the audio engine.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
You can manage your billing details, upgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time by visiting your Account Dashboard.
