Chrome News Reader

How to use the News Reader

Turn any German website into bilingual text with synced audio — in six simple steps.

  1. 1

    Sign up for Platinum membership

The News Reader is a Platinum feature. Create your account on languagemaster.org and choose the Platinum plan. Use an email you can access — you'll sign in to the extension with the same one.

  2. 2

    Install the extension on Chrome

Open the Chrome Web Store listing and click “Add to Chrome”, then “Add extension” to confirm. Use the Google Chrome browser on a computer.

  3. 3

    Activate the extension

Click the News Reader icon and sign in with the same email you used for your Platinum membership. This activates the reader on your account.

  4. 4

Open a German website in Chrome

Go to any German-language web page — a German news site, blog, or article. This is the page the reader will turn into bilingual text with audio.

  5. 5

Click the extension in your browser

Click the News Reader icon in the Chrome toolbar (top‑right). Don't see it? Click the puzzle‑piece 🧩 icon, then the pin 📌 next to “News Reader” to keep it visible.

  6. 6

    Click Play

Press Play in the panel. The page becomes bilingual text with synced audio — sit back, read along, and listen. That's it! 🎉
