Verb Conjugation (Present Tense)

What happens if a verb stem ends in -d or -t?

An "e" is inserted before the -t or -st ending for du, er/sie/es, and ihr forms for easier pronunciation.

Example

arbeiten (to work) → du arbeitest, er arbeitet, ihr arbeitet
